Located not far from Tapae Gate, Viking Bar is a meeting place for foreigners living in or frequently travelling to ChiangMai. You can meet interesting people there. It is not a "a-go-go" bar, but rather more like a cafeteria, with a pool table and TV.

Doi Suthep

Visit the most sacred Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, 15 kms from the city, 3,500 ft. above sea level and built in 1383. See the marvellous golden pagoda which is containing the relics of the Lord Buddha. Enjoy the panoramic view of Chiang Mai city. Further up for 4 kms. to the King's Winter Palace "Phuping Palace", see the delightful garden. (Open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holidays)

Doi Inthanon National Park

Visit Doi Inthanon National Park, the highest mountain of Thailand (8,500 feet above sea level). The beautiful Maeklang Waterfall and Vachirathan Waterfall, then visit the great pagodas, which were built for the highness Majesties King and Queen. Then trip also can visit Meo hilltribe village which is living by the Royal project and the poor Karen hilltribe villages and Karenhilltribe villages.
