Service Units
BIOTEC Service Units Consist of:
Provide biomolecular resources and service to researchers from
both government and private sectors. Currently, the unit
provides analysis of biological samples and synthesis of
oligonucleotides.
Microbiological Service Unit, Thailand Institute of
Scientific and Technological Research
Provide services on basic research, education and possible
commercialization. R&D in microorganisms preservation and the
utilization of microorganisms in both environmental and
industrial concerns are strongly emphasized.
This newly established unit aims to provide service on DNA
Fingerprinting of plant varieties for government sector and
private companies. The unit will serve as center for
registration, certification and standardization of plant DNA
Fingerprinting, as well as research and development
laboratory on DNA Fingerprinting technique.
Bioresources Research Unit
Collecting, identifying and screening of plants, microorganisms,
algae and marine invertebrates specimens, R&D of valued-added
products from bioresources.
